The flagship heart of the festival is a mammoth collection of short films made in / for / about Miami. You will see Miami-made films before anyone else. Films in this festival slot have gone on to be successful on the film festival circuit, viral sensations and Sundance to name a few. This will be the 11th iteration and will be co-presented by Adrienne Arsht Center.
WIND ACROSS the EVERGLADES a 1958 classic film will screen opening night as will a shorts showcase of the voices of new Miami. On Saturday, look for Lot 11, a skate park grand opening with merch and gifts onsite at the highway underpass. On the schedule Saturday night, short films by a new generation of Miami filmmakers that include a drag queen, witchcraft, anthropomorphized croquettes, sex worker struggles and what is described as the artiest movie ever shot in Hialeah.
