1st Annual "Can" Film Festival at Cinema Paradiso
(released 12/7/2004)

The Fort Lauderdale International Film Festival is launching a new holiday tradition... The "Can" Film Festival. This December 17 & 18th, FLIFF will present five Christmas movies at Cinema Paradiso. The admission is just two cans of food or one new unwrapped toy per person per movie. Donations will be provided to two charitable organizations: Broward Partnership for the Homeless, which provides shelter and comprehensive services to individuals and families. The organization provides 3 meals a day to over 200 people, many of them children. The second is The Haitian Relief Effort. Though 3 months have passed since hurricanes and flooding ravished the Island, Haiti's victims are still in desperate need of canned food, batteries, towels, dog food and more.

Below are films and schedule for the Fort Lauderdale International Film Festival's "Can" Film Festival at Cinema Paradiso, located at 503 SE 5 St, downtown Ft. Lauderdale just east of the Broward County Courthouse. Free parking in the Courthouse garage after 6pm weekdays and all day Saturday.
