Miami Gay & Lesbian Film Festival presents a FREE educational screening of Rock Bottom: Gay Men & Meth on Friday, November 24th, 2006 at 4:00pm. The screening will take place at Miami Beach Cinematheque located at 512 Espanola Way in Miami Beach.
Rock Bottom: Gay Men & Meth follows, over a period of two years, seven gay New Yorkers who are struggling with the highs and lows of meth addiction and recovery set against a backdrop of increased HIV risk. Meet J., a twenty-something aspiring singer/songwriter who thinks porn will be the path to stardom, Eric, an African-American who struggles with the revolving door of rehab and addiction, and Mark, an up and coming playwright/actor who is rebuilding his life and reclaiming his sexuality without the use of crystal. Complimenting these personal struggles are interviews with health professionals and recovering addicts.
Producer Colin Weil will be in attendance to discuss the film with the audience.
