The Miami International Film Festival announced a grant of $130,000 from Soundpost, a New York based digital music and entertainment company and software packages from Entertainment Partners, the largest provider of production management services in the entertainment industry.
The grant will award a soundtrack of licensed music to one filmmaker at the 2006 Festival.
The grant is valued at $130,000 and will be awarded to a participant in Miami Encuentros. Miami Encuentros gives emerging producers from Spain and Latin America the opportunity to present new projects to U.S. industry professionals, including producers, sales agents, television stations and distributors. Selected by a committee of Encuentros advisors, the music license grant recipient will be announced at the awards ceremony on March 11 at the Gusman Center for the Performing Arts.

Packaged and sold through the Soundpost record label, the soundtrack will have a national release date and supported with advertising, publicity, and retail marketing.
The software, called Movie Magic, will be awarded to recipients of the 2006 Audience Awards in each of three categories: Dramatic Features – World, Dramatic Features – Ibero-American, and Documentary Features – World & Ibero-American.
