By greenroomwire
MIAMIntelligence presents Before Sunset: Film and Discussion on January 13th at 7:30 PM. Presented by the Florida Psychoanalytic Society
The Psychoanalysis and Films series features psychologically evocative films which illuminate the fantasies and conflicts that underlie our mental lives. Each film will be accompanied by a discussion from a psychodynamic perspective, with lively audience participation. The evenings will be entertaining as well as intellectually and professionally enriching.
Nine years have passed since Jesse and Celine met in Vienna and walked all over the city, talking as if there would be no tomorrow, and then promising to meet again in six months. They begin to talk again, in a rush, before he must leave to catch his flight back to America. "Before Sunset" continues the conversation that began in "Before Sunrise" (1995), but at a riskier level.
Discussant: Helen Banta, Ph.D., FL Psychoanalytic Society & Institute.
Cost: $10. Members of the FPS: $5. Students: Free. Purchase tickets at the door.
Film starts at 7:30 PM. Complimentary wine and cheese from 7:00 PM
Event is at:
US-1 and 20th Avenue (2000 South Dixie Highway), Coconut Grove
Free parking
