"Arts programs are disappearing at an alarming rate in public school systems nationwide," said Spurlock. "It is my hope that 'CLASS ACT' will draw attention to something that I believe to be one of the most important foundations of a child's growth." "CLASS ACT" is being produced by Heather Winters (executive producer, Super Size Me) through her New York production company, Studio-On-Hudson, with partner Joe Morley (executive producer, Super Size Me) as an executive producer together with Spurlock. The film is directed by Sara Sackner (Painting the Town, Tie Died). "We are excited to be partnering again with Morgan," said Heather Winters. "We both feel strongly about the subject and our collaborative efforts." "CLASS ACT" spotlights Winters' and Sackner's former Miami Beach High School eccentric drama teacher and unlikely philanthropist, Jay W. Jensen, and his past students including actor Andy Garcia, sportscaster Roy Firestone, film director Brett Ratner, casting director Debra Zane, Broadway producer Adam Epstein, as well as experts, authors, teachers and students across America.
