The storm is forecasted to make landfall on the Florida East coast sometime Friday. Tropical Storm Warnings have been issued and a Hurricane Watch is currently in effect for Vero Beach south to Florida City. http://www.nhc.noaa.gov The news of Katrina comes on the 13th anniversary of Hurricane Andrew. The MTV Video Music awards has many pre-show parties and events planned to ramp up for the live awards show happening Sunday evening, August 28th. No word at this time about changes in the schedule.
