Miami Animation Conference & Festival - Oct 17-18

The Miami Animation Conference and Festival will be held at the Miami Animation & Gaming International Complex (MAGIC) at the Miami Dade College Wolfson Campus on October 17 and 18, 2015. The guest list of speakers and panel members are coming from networks and studios. Disney, Twentieth Century Fox, NBC, Cartoon Network to name drop a few will be teaching and searching for the industry of animation.
Mauricio Ferrazza founded the conference in 2010. Bringing his experience both in the US and Brazil to Miami. Ferrazza joined Miami Dade College as Chairperson for the Animation & Game Development Department in January 2015. Ferrazza's current work is implementing the programs and curriculum for MAGIC. The philosophy of this gathering "the MIA Animation Conference & Festival was designed to be a forum for active networking and practical information exchange with a strong commitment and emphasis in education while developing and nourishing new talent."
The conference and festival is free to Miami Dade students and staff. The event is open to the public and those wishing to attend may purchase passes. The Industry pitch will take place at the festival where projects are pitched to decision makers at some of the above mentioned studios and networks for development.
