Yossi is a caridologist who is still in the closet a decade after his lover has died. The film was nominated for best narrative at the Tribecca Film Festival and much chatter was held around actor Ohad Knoller who plays the character of Yossi introduced in 2003's film Yossi and Jagger. Gays in the military, Jewish life, and Israeli film today are themes throughout the piece directed by Eytan Fox.
Yossi will have an exclusive Miami premiere run at the Coral Gables Art Cinema with 2K Digital Cinema Projection for two weeks starting February 15, 2013.
A chance to see Yossi & Jagger on Tuesday, February 19, at 7:30 pm in 35mm will also be available at the Art Cinema.
Once you have taken in the full scope of the character's journey an additional extension of the film will be Monday, February 25 at 7:00 pm. The Gables Cinema and Next@19th will co-present a free discussion titled New Sanhedrin Forum on Ethics & Politics in Yossi.
