The 19th Annual AICP Show, The Art & Technique of the American Commercial, debuted on June 8, 2010 at The Museum of Modern Art in New York City. The screening will make its Florida stop of the tour in Miami Beach on Friday evening, October 8th, 2010 at the Colony Theatre.
The show recognizes commercial filmmaking in technical and artistic categories, ranging from animation to visual effects, and including such fields as production design, cinematography, and original music. Although the show focuses on American commercials, it includes a category for excellence in international commercials, reflective of the globalization of the commercial production industry. One of this year’s honorees in this category, La Comunidad, is based in Miami.
Doors open for the pre-reception at 6:30pm, with the screening to begin at 8pm and a post-screening reception to follow at Segafredo’s patio along Lincoln Road. Seating is first-come first-served, with the exception of some reserved premiere seating for the evening’s top tier sponsors. Sponsorships for the regional Show in Florida are still available.
