Jackie Mason Inducted Into Walk of Stars

 Legendary comedian Jackie Mason was inducted into the Gleason Walk of Stars on Friday, February 4, 2005. Established in 1984, the Walk of Stars enables the city to honor celebrities that have made significant contributions to the cultural landscape of Miami Beach.
Mason's uncompromising views have led him to be called an "Equal Opportunity Offender." This beloved artist's appearances are highly anticipated by the South Florida community.
Mason cemented his hand print and signature for posterity receiving a proclamation and key to the City of Miami Beach from Mayor David Dermer. The free and open to the public ceremony took place at 2:00pm Friday afternoon in the Grand Lobby of the Jackie Gleason Theater of the Performing Arts.
