Miami Int'l Film Festival Opens In Style
(released 2/9/2005)

The Miami International Film Festival opened with a flair only the city of Miami could create. The Opening Night Film Modigliani kicked off the festival with a sold out show at the Gusman Theater on Flagler Street in downtown Miami. Immediately following, the film patrons were shuttled south to the Miami Arena where the party began. Set directly behind the arena and famed Bongos Cafe, guests were transported to an open air structure that contained the makings of a hot, hot party. Tropical centerpieces, pink pillow seating areas, panoramic views of downtown Miami's skyline, causeways and the Port of Miami. The band fused rhythmic sounds from all over the music spectrum and played well into the night as the crowd danced among colorful stilt performers. The bars were stocked and the food was plentiful. The vibe definitely said 'Miami Loves Film.'
