Current TV's staff will be in Miami for Art Basel and they'll be holding an exclusive screening and Q&A for independent filmmakers on December 6th. They will be screening examples of their style of programming and meet one on one with filmmakers to discuss pitches and answer questions.

Current TV uses what they call Viewer Created Content for about a third of their broadcasting.  They pay the filmmakers for said content.  They'll explain how easy it is to create your segment and upload it to their site.  Online viewers vote for their favorites segments and then those make it onto the television broadcast.
