MIFF presents First Annual Summer Fun Film Series

The Miami International Film Festival, presented by Miami Dade College, will be holding the first annual Summer Fun Film Series, presented in association with Friends of Gusman. The series presents five films over four nights, July 27 & 28 and August 3 & 4 at the Gusman Center for the Performing Arts and includes a program of both classic and new films that are sure to not only appeal to the nostalgic, but also to fans of Nickelodeon's popular animated films.

The summer series opens July 27 with Wizard of Oz, allowing many people the opportunity to see it for the first time on a big screen. Festivities include an Oz costume dress up contest. The hugely successful family film, Winged Migration screens on July 28. The series continues August 3 with a special advance screening of Barnyard (from Nickelodeon Movies and Paramount), which opens nationwide August 4. Film-goers will be able to shake it up August 4 with Grease and the Elvis classic, Clambake, which celebrates the 50th anniversary of Elvis' historic performance at the Gusman.
